The modular design of the W.A.C. MonoRail lighting system offers unlimited layout possiblilities. Form and connect hand-bendable straight MonoRail sections (12 inch radius minimum) to create the ideal track lighting system to meet your exacting needs.
Special connectors are available to create geometric angles . Design Your MonoRail System
- Determine Lighting Requirements: Start by identifying how much and where light is required. Design layout to meet your requirements.
- Create scale drawing: Calculate the total length of MonoRail sections required to create your layout. From the scale drawing you can use a length of string to represent your layout (ex. 1/4 inch = 1 foot). Rail sections come in 4 and 8 foot
lengths. Rails are field cuttable and hand-bendable to a 12 inch radius. Each Rail section comes complete with 2 end caps. Additional caps are available for cut rail sections. (components shown on this page)
- Determine Number and Type of Connectors Required: Connectors are designed to join rail sections with or without electrical continuity. Join section in straight lines (Coupler), right angles (L-Connector), perpendicular (T-Connector), cross
pattern (X-connector), and with flexible jumpers. (components shown on this page)
- Determine Suspension Required. Suspension points are required a minimum every 42 inches. More suspension points are required for tight curves and heavier fixures. W.A.C. offers rigid stand-offs designed to mount to walls, ceilings, sloped
ceilings, and accoustic ceilings. Cable suspensions are also available. / Suspension Components /
- Determine Transformer and Power Feed Required. The W.A.C. MonoRail system is designed for a Maximum 25 Amp, 300 watt 12/Volt or 600 Watt 24 Volt. Add the wattage of all fixtures you plan to hang on your system to determine the wattage rating
and number of transforemerts required. If the total wattage of fixtures is less than the maximum rating only one transfroemr and power feedd is required. Multiple transforemsa and power feeds are required if the wattage of the lamps exceed the maximum.
Transformers are availab ein surfaxce mount models which mount to standard 4 inch electrical J-boxes and remote transformers which can be hidden from view.
